Company Background....

MEDesign began in 1982 (in a spare room at home) with one employee (Ian Walkingshaw) and one product (the MEDesign Backfriend).

Survival was a fast moving target during the early years, but by a combination of good products, hard work, belief in ourselves and our customers (and the occasional bit of good luck), we did survive and grow.

So that today, as well as steadily increasing sales in the UK, we export to more than 35 overseas countries and we believe we have helped millions of people worldwide.

We operate a mail order service to members of the public throughout the world and also have a network of stockists in the UK and 35 overseas countries for those people who prefer to buy face to face.

Our list of business purchasers include many blue chip corporations, UK Health Authorities and NHS Trust Hospitals, Government Departments, County Councils and Social Service Departements.

In a nutshell "we supply any customers from the individual purchaser up to the largest corporate body".

Where we are....

Our manufacturing, production facilities and offices are located in Southport, England. And yes (unlike many other companies) we do actually manufacture our products here at the factory in Southport, England.

Personal callers are welcome (our office hours are 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday) to view test and purchase our full product range.
